Artist Presentations

Guidelines for Artist Presentations:

Format:        

Exactly 7 minutes in length (rehearse before giving presentation to practice timing)

Formatted as Powerpoint Presentation due to me on jump drive.  

Objective:           

Compare the work and ideas of two artists
For at least one of the artists "secondary" sources must be available - ie. articles or book about the artists work written by a scholar (other than the artist)

2-3 slides of inspiration/background information.  Images that illustrate ideas, themes and relationships between your two artists.  Include ideas and insights from a range of sources.  No resumes/emphasize ideas rather than biographical information.

5-8 images of artist work with description

                                                           

Sources:             

Book or journal (at least one) 

Site your sources for presentation – one paragraph annotated bibliography due on day if presentation

Summarize your research!!!! You need to research more than 7 minutes worth of information, and then you will edit your research and share with us the most relevant images and ideas.
